To the OP, as said above, 30-40ft lbs of tq will not make the phone poles go by noticeably quicker.
If it feels underpowered to you (although it should haul any slide in camper at hiway speeds no problem) then time to go off topic..........and talk about oil burners.
Side note, I agree on the underpowered part. But your expectations need to be in line with your chosen version of engine.
Regarding the weight/sway. Your current truck is well suited for that weight. Especially if you've added to the leaf pack. 2 options there. Go overkill with a class 5 truck, or lose the top heavy camper for a trailer. Can't expect it to handle Anywhere near like it does without the white whale humping the truck!
