Biggest reason to get a 3500 SRW or DRW is the fact that's the only way to get the Aisin trans with the lower starting gears and more HP and TQ.
I would highly recommend the factory rear air ride on the 3500's it really does a great job!
The biggest reason to get a 3500 SRW or DRW is for the extra payload. Not everyone needs or wants the Aisin, which is evident by the fact that 2 other transmissions are offered in them.
For me that's a given since I am way beyond ever owning a 2500. No way the wife will ever want a smaller RV.
The GCWR and TRAILER TOWING on a 2500/3500 SRW 4x4 long box are virtually the same.
The 2500 has 6,000 RAWR and the 3500 has 7,000#.
You will get the "hey they both can tow the same" from unknowing salesman and anyone that does not understand it's ALL about what that rear axle can carry.
Comparisons are for the 15 MY.
