I didn't say anything about not buying something you want or affording it. I just told someone else that if someone doesn't tow heavy or require a PTO provision then it is not needed. And yes from the way some here in this forum like to say "medium duty transmissions" or "medium duty engine", it does seem like they say it just to get a rise. Although I don't get why they like to say it since all of the big three's engines and transmissions are in medium duty trucks. The only reason why the 68RFE wasn't in the 2007.5 to 2012 trucks even though it is now rated to tow more than those trucks while handling more engine power is because it doesn't have a PTO provision.NC Hauler wrote:
I love my dually's..daily drove and towed with them 11 years..5 with Chevy D/A's, 3 with Cummins 68RFE and 3 with Cummins/Aisin...I tow heavy...want what I want, .and go with a dually....It's my hard earned money, guess I ought to be smart enough and able to spend it how I wish...No "sour grapes" from me..just actual facts as of now. Figure it'll outlast me, though that might not be saying much..
You may like DRW trucks which is fine, but why are you getting mad at me for not wanting to drive DRW trucks. Did I say DRW are bad or that the people that have them are bad? No. I just said I don't like them so why are you getting mad at me for not liking them? It is my own preference. Nor did
Not mad at you, but a bit upset with the way you worded your post...maybe I took it the wrong way, ...but I don't think so..seemed like you had an agenda against the Aisin for no real reason..seemed to me, just because you don't like them or have no use for them...I never said anything about the Aisin never breaking down...but having owned cars and trucks since 1967...I've come to find this happens to a whole lot of different brands out there...ie, break down...no big deal...part of life, whether we like it or not...
I don't care if you drive a DRW truck or not, AGAIN, the way YOU worded that part of your post, you made it perfectly clear, you would tow less before you'd EVER own a dually...as though they're not worth owning...
the way you presented your text, in my really dumb opinion, left some to be desired...more about...negative, don't like, don't need, don't want...no way, no how and a Dually is taboo....Your opinions, and I stated my opinion on your opinion....nothing more....nothing less.
