If your truck is still under warranty and you do not and cannot show proof of a filter change at 15k or so Ram may deny your warranty claim. So cheap maintence and a little insurance. I also change oil and filter in 3k to 4k range gas or diesel. Cheap insurance. Oh so far in over 45 years of driving never lost a motor to poor maintence.
