Sort of crazy but I just saw Ram hot shot Dually on I-70.
I noticed it was a Hemi and not a Cummins and I thought that was odd?
What was he hauling?
When the ford 6.2 engine came out a couple behind us at our winter resort pulled in with the new gas engine towing a heavy Excell fifth. he told me he was tried of the power stroke engine's having issues. less power but they were so happy to a better engine. hope that turned out ok. chevman retired from rving
The Ram 6.4 has good power, and likely using the 8-speed. I'd think the tow limit would be around 15K with 4.10, and same with Ford 6.2 using 4.30.
The 7.3 Ford should be obvious choice for heavy tow, when choosing gas, rather than diesel. Hope the 7.3 follows the 6.2, long term, high mileage dependability.
