The Ecoboost had tons of injector problems which have mostly been worked out.
The Ecoboost didn't have injector issues. It's major issue was with the intercooler pooling water which would later get sucked into the engine under hard throttle which would cause multiple misfires. Multiple misfires will cause the truck(or any vehicle) to go into an EPA mandated limp mode to save the emission systems.
I read a surprising number of on-line posts about inj failure on EB's and perhaps even worse, a lack of supply of replacement injectors. Some people waited for weeks or months and some even forced buy-backs.
Whether you want to consider that a "major" problem is up to you.
