Bucky I hope you don't go to work for another dealer then. They all have recall parts that are on back order. GM more so then FCA and Ford. I did say this " Getting parts seems to be the biggest issue with this engine. Only one plant is making it right now and parts are hard to come by. " What do you do for the dealership? Not supply chain management I'm guessing ;)
Now a days all manufactures share parts from the same vendors. So when******happens the vendor not only still has to supply the assembly plants but now they have to make parts for the recall, not an easy task.
The only issue I have had with my truck was the U-connect froze up. When I stopped for coffee I turned the truck off and when I restarted it a few minutes later it was fine and has never done it again. I do have to take it in for the ECM DEF re-flash one of these days. Not a big deal for me but I'm sure some other people would make a big deal about it.
