That being said, I think its incredible the amount of power that these trucks are producing! Gosh, 10 years ago we were happy with almost HALF the power output. Its amazing! I would be willing to sacrifice some of this insane power for better fuel economy though.
Well a semi tractor likely weighs in the range of 15 to 25K and can have a GCVWR of 80K to 105K.
The half ton is likely pulling a 9,000# TT, which has an easier time Wagging the Dog.
Remember what the semi weighs with the trailer bearing down on the rears ,I would add least another 20,000#
