TPS talks to the ECM and the ECM says sorry we are not going to allow that today and retards the timing and if fuel injected it may defuel it also. You said no Googling so I'm not sure if that year the Vette had TB or injectors.
But I'm sure I'm 100% wrong on this as I never post any facts. BTW some of you need to stop taking everything so literally. My low to mid TQ statement was made in general. My 04 Ram CTD had a red line of 3200 RPM's and at 70 mph towing had no pick up at all! Unless you hit the tow/haul button or slowed down. My 2015 ED is somewhere around 4200. As far as the 6.7 Cummins I don't know where it's red line is.
