I will say Terry there are a whole lot more issues with the CP4.0 then the 4.2.
But when it comes to ease of repairs GM or Ford can't touch the Ram with a Cummins. Almost any engine repair on a Ford will end up in the cab coming off. Your at least you being billed for it to come off! A lot of shops remove the inner fenders to gain access to engine components. A lot easier then lifting the cab off. When I replaced the lift pump I pulled the inner fender same for the exhaust. A whole lot easier to get to the parts from the side then laying over a fender.
