My guess is the cab/chassis trucks will keep the traditional leaf sprung rear suspension. Cab/chassis trucks need to maintain the 34" rear frame rail width, with straight, flat rails, for ease of upfit.
Dodge widened the rear frame rails of the pickup and added a lot of extra curves, it appears, to accomodate the fancy linked suspension. Not likely they'll adapt that to straight cab/chassis frame rails.
So the solution to all this new Dodge foo-foo rear end mess is-- buy a cab/chassis truck and put your own custom bed on it! :)
Don't understand your "solution to all this new Dodge foo-foo rear end mess":h.....Nothing wrong with the rear end/suspension on my 13'...Other than the new frame and beefed up rear suspension, mine has the leaf spring pack.....
What bothers you about all that? I've noticed you've been kind of mesmerized with all the talk, but, unless I'm mistaken, in more of a has brand new beefed up frame, a much heavier duty rear end, a beefier front suspension, and if it comes with the Aisin, tranny, then a medium duty tranny to try to compete some with the D/A combo....Appears that Ram is just trying to compete with #1 and #2 for sales....I think they've done an admirable job to this point, I mean they are making and continuing to make improvements to get a piece of the market sales...
