Wow...that's a long read. I agree with the OP of that thread that it is a safety issue and anyone having these problems should file a complaint with the NTHSB. That's about the only way enough pressure can be exerted on a manufacturer to force a change/recall.
Hopefully before someone has to pay the ultimate price.
