Better yet, if you can test drive the Tundra long enough to do so, load up exactly as if going camping, with a full tank of fuel, and go to a cat scale and get the truck weighed. You may be surprised how little payload is left.
The Tundras have similar payload ratings as the Rams, quite often higher, as the Rams are the lowest in the class. For some reason the Tundra takes flack for it and nobody complains about the Ram but there is no Tundra with a payload less than 1k, there are many Rams lower than that.
