Have you compared sales numbers of large trucks (mostly half-ton) to "Ranger Sized" offerings? Midsize trucks may be selling buy it's not even close to the numbers of half-ton trucks.
The numbers are roughly a half million/year-to-date half-ton or larger for Chevrolet verses 100,000 mid size trucks.

It the " Hilux Fighter"is intended to be sold in South East Asia, Latin America,Middle East, and Australia / New Zealand. Depends how the market goes to see if it does a " Ford Ranger" and a deriative is sold in the US but I doubt it
US 1/2 tons are not sold outside NA. NA does include Mexico
