Who is buying them how are they being used or abused and how are they being maintained.
I whole hardheartedly disagree to the fullest extent.
Not only as a personal opinion and experience of my own, but there's so much data out there to back up my statement...its not a debate at all.
Just try to find reputable data/source that has Ram on top of Toyota for across the board reliability ratings and resale value. Doesn't exist.
Is any brand perfect? Nope. They all make lemons. Anything designed and produced by humans is subject to fail, but some are absolutely without a doubt far better than others by sheer volume and percentage. End of story.
You will have to back that opinion up with numbers. Or it's just opinion. I don't know about across the board, but let's compare parts: is one brand of engine better? Transmission? Frame? Drive train? Electronics? Leather? I don't see it.
FACT IS; Toyota Tundra has been the leader in resale value for 1/2 tons for a LONG LONG time. As well, it has the highest reliability ratings...which is likely why it holds high resale. Not rocket science.
You guys can Google as well as I can and each source will state what I stated.
But people will believe what they want regardless and also dispute each source (big name or small) because it differs from their belief.
