They used to be made or more precisely assembled in Australia until 1992. Boutique importers import HD Pickups, tiny numbers.
Problem with Large US SUV 's and 1/2 tons is their limited Off Road ability. I am not talking of a Raptor that has still limited Off Road and payload capabilities. There are many other reasons, but is one main reason.
