Ford only sells one truck, Ford. Dodge/Chrysler only sells one truck, Ram.
The sole reason they are not counted together is because from a legal standpoint they are separate name plates. They are made on the same assembly lines. They are both owned by GM. If you look at the GMC and Chevy truck sales number together GM clearly outsells everyone else.
as they say Ford is the highest selling BRAND of truck, but General Motors is the highest selling manufacture of LD/MD trucks.
But I will admit, Chrysler has shown a big increase in truck sales over the last few decades. At one time they were but a drop in the bucket, now they are pretty mainstream.
The good news is that IMHO ALL the trucks are very good and we can pick and choose and all end up with something we like.
