Last winter when I was shopping for my 2016 I went to the GM dealer and was approached by a sales lady. She asked what I was up to and I said I was planning on purchasing a new truck. She quickly invited me into her office and said "what kind of truck are you looking to get" I said I'm thinking of getting a new f350. She had a surprised look on her face so I asked "have I got the wrong dealership?" I told her I liked the GM truck just fine and would buy a GM if she could match Fords price. When I showed her Ford's quote she said she honestly couldn't sell me a used Denali for that price and a new one would be at least $10k more. I never bothered pricing a Ram.
So all that to say I wonder if there was some reason that GM has wanted to reduce their sales #s and maintain the same level of profit by increasing their sale price?
So you went to one GM dealer and talked to one sales person who told you that GM trucks were 10K more and you went and bought a Ford.
LOL, makes perfect sense to me! :S
We actually got three quotes from GM and two from Ford. GM dealers were all similar and when pushed the second Ford dealer was willing to come pretty close to the first one. We bought two Platinums and got about 18k taken off the Camadian MSRP on each truck.
