This number is something the end user has to actively seek out and look up. Clearly whoever wrote the logic that comes up with the numbers made a mistake and it has been corrected.
When you put in the VIN for a 2500 truck and it comes back telling you that your tow capacity is 20,000+lbs, you should be saying "Hey, wait a minute!" because it's not realistic. You say "Hey wait a minute!" when you see that a 1500 is rated to pull 13,200lbs...
