To be SAFE a person should take the RV's GVWR take 25 percent of that (16K = 4K pin) weigh their TV FULLY loaded fuel/passengers. Now add your RAW to the 4K pin, are you within the RAWR? This is especially for full timers. My RV GVWR is 21K my weight is 23K, my pin is 25 percent at 5,800#.

I've never had mine push my SRW but also in the same breath I tow to my surroundings. People that swear by having a DRW truck only for towing heavy always put out that the SRW people don't know what they are doing or are clueless. I admit, there are a lot of people out there that are clueless and a lot of them shouldn't be pulling a pop up with a class 8. If one wants to hook to a heavy trailer and not want to pay attention to their surroundings then yes they need the heaviest truck they can by but for people that pull occasional weekends and vacations then a lot of times you can do it with a SRW truck and do it safely.
