I got that info from a link in the very same article you quoted in your original post. So that Australia site is truthful when it fits your narrative, but not truthful when it doesn't. :h

The truth about 3500kg towing
The truth is the truth whether you want to believe it or not. Some trucks are limited by government regulations and not their actual abilities while other aren't. This limitation is generally due to their own weight versus the max weight of the class they are in. These are facts.
The first part was what i quoted. Net effect
RAM 1500 cannot tow anything. 2500 is pretty restricted for a diesel
So you admit that you purposely only quoted the first part of that article saying how a US full size half ton truck is limited (which is due to its heavier weight maxing out licensing limits that were made for smaller trucks) because it fit your narrative of US trucks bashing.
But, you didn't want to post the rest of the article and link which states that many loaded Australian trucks are having the same issue and how they don't recommend towing the full 3,500 kg(7,700 lbs) with those small trucks due to there low power levels and instability issues with a heavy trailer. You definitely didn't want people to know that they recommended towing heavier loads with US trucks especially our HD diesel trucks.
That is why I posted the link for people to read the whole article. Because I noticed you only posted the negatives about the US half ton trucks and purposely left out where they pointed out the negatives in Australian mid size trucks along with the positives they said about US trucks. Just keeping you honest, which seems to be a full time job these days.
