This is much cooler. Now if Dodge came out with a tailgate that could do this then I would be impressed!
And at least the Ford stripper pole is cool at parties! :B - I could see where this would be handy. Just not enough to actually want one.

Ram Box is a good idea since the long bed trucks seem to be vanishing and it saves buying a bed box. Downside, the cost as an option and if not mistaken, isn't the payload of a truck so equipped downgraded from the same truck without a Ram Box?dodge guy wrote:

Thanks, I did not feel like doing the geometry on it. My tailgate opens with ease with the electric jack so a redesign never crossed my mind.- interesting... I can see times when a swing tail gate might be better.
I give them credit for trying to re-invent ideas. Who knows if it will catch on. I seriously thought GM's 4 way steering trucks would catch on. I was sold on the commercials showing the truck back up a trailer into an impossible spot.
