Rant - looking for a travel trailer

You could also look into a motorhome. Then you wouldn't be driving the gas guzzler all of the time, have the space you need and not have to set up every night.
But cost is a factor. Like someone said a 10 lb package in a 5 lb box. Personally I'm not a fan of the hybrids either. Aside from the stealth mode, they might also be your best bet. Reality is, if your sitting all night in a rest stop or a walmart parking lot and your truck is empty, there are only 2 places you can be, and your not fooling anyone lol.
