What is the ideal layout and length johnsoax? There is only so much you can fit in a given length. 4 bunks puts you at 29-30ft min range, and there are not many even at that length!
So what do you visualize as the perfect TT for a family with 4 kids? Is it a 26ft TT with no dinner table or kitchen? I am not being sarcastic, I'm serious. Something has to give.
I honestly don't care about length... I really don't understand the hangup with length, I want the feature I want at a certain weight and the length can fall where it wants.
But then I have pulled 10,000lb loaded 36' long box trailers, granted with a 3500 truck.
This hangup with 10-15% tongue weight to trailer weight has never been an issue for me.... That is what sway control devices are for.
I want 3-4 individual beds for the kids, I can deal with one of the beds being a jackknife sofa if need me. I want a queen bed for the wife and I. I really couldn't care less about a bathroom, but it would be nice. And a smaller kitchen would be find with me, as long as it has an oven. I don't really need a sink.
In our current popup, we don't use the sink, we don't have a fridge (even though I would like a fridge) and we don't use the on board stove top. But that could just be how lousy the layout is more than anything else. If we had a nice kitchen, we may use it, but I would like an outdoor kitchen. The Passport 2920BH is about perfect except for the 625lb hitch weight with nothing in the front storage area....
