I haven't read all 16 pages of comments but it is unclear why you can't use a WD hitch. If you have a receiver you can use a WD hitch. Have you been to a RV/ utility trailer dealer that installs hitches for their input? What about an after market hitch? Having a 7700 lb towing capacity and only allowing a 550lb hitch weight doesn't make sense. I looked up your TV and found numerous forums and information of many people that add WD hitches. If you haven't explored options to use a WD hitch it could be a way solve your tong weight issue.
