I haven't read all 16 pages of comments but it is unclear why you can't use a WD hitch. If you have a receiver you can use a WD hitch. Have you been to a RV/ utility trailer dealer that installs hitches for their input? What about an after market hitch? Having a 7700 lb towing capacity and only allowing a 550lb hitch weight doesn't make sense. I looked up your TV and found numerous forums and information of many people that add WD hitches. If you haven't explored options to use a WD hitch it could be a way solve your tong weight issue.
From the manual - "An equalising or other form of weight distributing hitch should NOT be used with your vehicle."
The receiver is removable to allow you to have a greater departure angle off road. Some people have speculated that it has something to do with the air suspension, but I believe it is because the removable receiver can't take the extra stresses caused by the mechanics of a WD hitch. You know, physics. I have seen many people say they use them, but when the manual specifically says not to, then you are completely SOL if something happens while you are using it.
Here is how the receiver is installed/removed - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQdsz03eVYE
I could get a bolt on reciever that would increase my tongue weight rating to 800lbs with a WD hitch, but I would most likely lose the ability to carry a full size spare tire in the factory location, which means I would have to do something else with it, and/or throw the donut spare back under there.. I'm considering it, but would probably end up losing payload capacity by putting a rear tire swing carrier on the back to carry the full size spare.
