This has been really entertaining.
Since this is the USA, and you believe "that manufacturers are ignoring a large potential market of mid size SUV's", why not start your own engineering, design and manufacturing? When the RV giants realize that you have hit a significant market that they are not in, they will buy you out with lots of cash. You can then retire early and spend the rest of your time caring for the LR and RVing.
