It's spring TV ratings sweeps, so one of the local TV stations consumer action reporters did a story (hardly original, judging by Google search hits) on the horrors of rats and other rodents feasting ...

The solution is to give the little varmints something MORE tasty to eat nearby......laced with an appropriate poison.
Note: And if you think you DON'T have mice in your attic or basement, just do a careful inspection sometime or put out some traps and see how fast the bait disappears.
