RDS Auxilary Fuel Tank

I have a RDS 60gal. fuel and tool and I really like it and I have had it in two different trucks with no problems. If I was buying another one I might drop down to a 40 gal tank with bigger tool box. 40 gal with main tank would get me plenty of fuel to drive all day. That is what I like not having to stop for fuel with the trailer during the day. When we pull in for the night I unhook and while the wife is fixing supper a I go fill up the truck you can get into any kind of station when not hooked up

I have the 90 gallon auxiliary tank with a gravity flow setup. Bought it at Northern Tool and my Ford dealer did the install. Its been perfect, except if I don't shut the fuel flow off at the tank, it will leak some when the truck sits for a long time. We think its coming out of the vent lines of the stock tank.

Probably something we'll fix over the winter.

Mine has the tool box on top. It locks at the cap and the box lid locks. Its been great. 125 gallons to fill up when I'm on empty.

DH installed an RDS 50g in our 2008 that we picked up at Northern Tool. He had a few problems with leaks and the tool box didn't work well.

So when we bought the 2010, we upgraded to a Transfer Flow and paid someone else to install it. Then we bought a larger tool box.

I got the RDS model 71083 45 gallon last year, before heading to Alaska. I was able to install it myself in only a short amount of time. The tank works great, I left it gravity fed and it will fill the truck tank without over filling it. Sure makes traveling great when you don't have to look for a service station that is RV friendly. This particular tank does stick a little bit over the top of the bed but only takes up about 10" of the bed.

Yes, I have the 92 gallon RDS tank. It works very well. Its gravity fed, and put a shutoff valve on the line. The kit works fine. Once we made it from San Antonio, Tx to Albuquerque without a refill towing a 35' Carriage. We currently made it today from Ogden,Ut to Great Falls, Mt., 536 miles and still have plenty. I don't know how many gallons until I fill up tomorrow. Go for the biggest you can deal with. Good Luck

I have the RDS 50 gallon with tool box on top in my D/A chevy 2011 srw 3500. Works perfect never a problem. Love it. I use the gravity feed. I have had this fuel tank sense 2008 with my 08 chevy so that makes 5 years of flawless service!
