I dont know about Thetford, mines a 46yr old Mansfield (now Sealand) and once I discovered all parts were available I rebuilt it thinking Id never wear it out. Something that can be disassembled cleaned and lubed should be an advantage IMHO. Toilet would match the shower if you keep it.( check with your decorator! LOL.)
