I like the stainless wheel well liners, it brings the rest of the chrome together . I have a '15 Red 2500 with the chrome package but not the wheel well trim.
I can't bring myself to drill holes or I'd think about doing it too. My truck is at ~2200 miles and I've been in the 18.6-- 20.1 mpg range (hand calc) the lie-0-meter says over 21... ;)
