Almost home after ~2000 miles - towing with a 1/2 a ton

I tow the exact same trailer as your with an f150, and am under all the weights. That particular trailer is well matched for a half ton. I just have a basic husky hitch with no sway control, and have never wished I had a different setup, pulling through some bad stuff.

Sure a hd truck would improve some things, but if I was going to spend the money on a hd truck, I'd also spend the money on a heavier trailer with more amenities.
