I really like my '97. I have 313,000 miles on it now. Towing the 5th wheel I get 12-13 and non-towing 20-21 mpg. It is a good thing I like the truck as it is what I can afford in my retirement. For owners to be, I would much advise additional instrumentation like EGT gauge and transmission temp. gauge.
