If it were me, I would let the insurance company take care of it - isn't damage like this why we carry insurance ? ? ? I would advocate for a replacement - heck with chancing a costly repair that may or not work.
I would also put in a claim for the damaged bicycles if they were attached to trailer at time of damage.
