My experience with the Andersen hitch mirrors IdaD's. The one drawback though is needing to raise the fifth wheel hitch approximately an additional 2 1/2" compared to a traditional fifth wheel hitch. This is needed for the Andersen coupler, mounted to the fifth wheel hitch, to clear the Andersen ball. I'll take that any day verses not having to have to hear the noise my previous traditional hitch made. (but, maybe the B&W hitch is quiet with little slop, I have never owned one) This one is quiet.
