Cell phone antennas require a particular length antenna depending on which company carrier you are with. I used the antenna that came with Wilson(now We Boost), it has about a 10 foot long cable and proper connector. They require about a 6 inch diameter magnetic base to hold the antenna for ground plane. I used a small old stainless saucepan that was magnetic. Don't forget to take it down when you travel or make something else permanent.
