The rear set of rails would easily hold a pair of whatever choice of battery you make - G24s, G27s, even G31s, or as some suggested a pair of 6 volt GC-2s. However, if you tried to mount a pair of batts on that front set of rails you'd be sure to overhang the A-frame quite a bit, especially if your choice was G31s. You could add a platform to your A-frame as I've done to all the trailers I've owned, turn the pair of batts north-south rather than east-west, and perhaps have sufficient room for two. Start with using your tape measure to tell you what will and won't work. ;)
I think for simplicity, I'm just going to get another identical battery as the one that came with the trailer. Won't really be doing much boondocking. Just thinking of in emergencies where we need a few hours of low usage power. At least for now. So I'd mount the 2nd battery at the back to keep the tongue weight a tad lower.
