Guess what!! You are not driving a sporty lightweight car anymore. Go to a good driving school and get some instructions on how to drive a heavy truck. That is the reason there are so many accidents on the roads, because the idiots behind the wheel have no idea how to drive safely. Yes, the heavier it is, the harder it is to stop. It is simple... High school physics class. Too many think they know how to drive, but have no idea about how to stop safely. And always, always leave yourself at least double the amount of space you need to stop. the car or light truck in front of you can always stop dead much quicker than you can. BTW, an experienced LEO once told me that you can always take an unsafe driver to court, but not a barrier, ditch or cliff. So what you hit is your decision.
