Our mattress (OEM from the mfg) was horrible. 4 or 5 layers of what looked like stiff wool instead of foam. I did a bit of research and got this Dynasty Mattress from Amazon.

I'm not going to rave about it and say its so great that I'm getting one for home. But it is pretty good for the money. It weighs about 50 pounds, comes rolled up in a vacuum sealed bag, and self inflates once you open it up. Just take out your old mattress, place the bagged, rolled up new one on your bed, carefully cut the plastic off and let it unroll in the rolled up direction (don't do what we did when we mistook the top from the bottom and rolled it out the hard way and then had to turn it over again).
The instructions say it takes 72 hours to fully restore itself, but it seemed to be fully inflated within a day. Some of the reviews on this mattress complained about a chemical smell. There is definitely a smell (like anything new), but it subsided within a couple of days. Its very comfortable, a bit heavier than the original, but still allows us to lift our underbid storage compartment. It seems to be a bit longer than the original, maybe thats because its much thicker and my bedroom space is tight.
We like this one a lot. Medium to firm. Does not create a crater where you lie that makes it difficult to get out of bed. Best of all, it comes with two memory foam/gel pillows that I also like a lot.
