It sounds like a great idea, tape it and forget it, but I have replaced standard vent covers with Fantastic Fans, I've had to replace my shower skylight and I can't imagine Eternabond is easy to remove.
I think the Dicor products are designed to be removed relatively easily because such roof attachments need to be replaced from time to time due to a number of environmental or accidental reasons.
I have removed some Eternabond, it left quite the mess of gray adhesive when the white portion peeled away during removal.
When I replace a roof fitting or any fitting on the camper, I press seal it with Butyl Tape, fasten the fitting dowm with the screws then
put on the Dicor....
