On my original trailer, I was guilty of using just x-chocks on each side. I didn't use any other chocks. Then noticed once the x-chocks were placed, it added a strain on my electric jack when unhitching. NOW, I chock the wheels with plastic chocks and THEN place the x-chock. On this trailer, I am only using one X-Tended-Fit X-Chock.
I was lucky to not have any mishaps or problems while doing it the wrong way.
