There's a Discount Tire in Hickory.
I saw that and asked about it. Apparently it's some kind of typo. The guy I talked to knew they weren't rated for that kind of speed. The important thing is I know it. - JAL_CamperExplorerBought Maxxis from local Discount Tire when they aged out. They had to order them and did the install in the parking lot (v. service bay.)
There's a Discount Tire in Hickory. - BarneySExplorer IIII have Maxxis on my own trailer and like them a lot. I have a problem with the website ad from Real Deal Tires though. They say that the Maxxis ST M8008 tire has a speed rating of 100mph on their website link. Those tires, as far as I know, are rated just like any other ST tire at 65mph.

Be sure your tire rim can take the added pressure of higher rated tire.
How do you check for this? Should there be something stamped on the wheel somewhere?
Bruce - ashnicExplorerJust bought mine 2 weeks ago..Discount had them in 2 day's. They also matched the best internet price I found..
- waynec1957ExplorerSince I raised this question I thought I should post an update.
On Monday morning around 9 am I ordered 4-Maxxis M8008 205/75R14 C tires from Real Deal Tires in Hickory, N.C. They arrived Wednesday around 5 pm…roughly 56 hours after I ordered them…standard ground shipping Fed Ex. Date code on the tires was 35th week of 2013.
Total cost, including shipping, was $324 or $81 per tire. The cheapest I could find them locally (and they had to be ordered) was $95 per tire. - waynec1957ExplorerThanks for the help folks. Someone was kind enough to PM me with the information I was looking for. Looks like this outfit is the pretty good.
- jimw606ExplorerDiscount Tire Stores usually stock them,or try Discount Tire Direct.
They will not be as cheap as the above Company. However their prices include freight. I did not compare everything. - bmj11ExplorerBe sure your tire rim can take the added pressure of higher rated tire.
