We have a nice thick mattress we had factory chop to fit our RV size queen bed. We are neither one tall people so no feet hanging over. Then after sleeping at my daughters house while baby sitting I needed a memory foam topper. If I ever fall off I hope I land on the dog so I won't break a bone. Most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.
