Ha, I keep thinking about a new truck, but mine hasn't given me a good reason yet...
In less than 3 years, my oldest will get one or the other as a birthday present. An old clapped out Dodge pickup, or a srt8 charger with a butt load of miles. Both are well over 100k now and aren't giving me cause to replace them. I'm going to go knock on wood now...
Honestly I'm waiting for the 5th gen Rams, 2nd year, so that'll be about 4 years out.
8 speed ZF trans and 1000ft lbs that sips def as gingerly as it sips fuel would be nice.

I'd buy you a beer, we think alike! My oldest is 11 so I'm 5-6 years out and my truck just turned 90k. I put brakes and a water pump on it! I know my trans will need a VB in the next 10-20k and I could kill it in three minutes if I crank up my tuner...

But 5th gen sound exciting! It would be nice to feel 1000 lbs of torque without backing off to save the trans! I felt my Toruqe converter shutter today rolling into the throttle with just my boat coming out of a corner....sigh, I don't want to write a $5500 check but......it would be fun to hit the wood with a load just once!
