It would be a unique lifestyle camper. I would have to tow a trailer with food storage, a camp kitchen, the minimal tools and things that you need to actually live and survive. Now, I have an 8' truck camper that is a lot larger than that, and it's as small as I could see working for a self contained unit, and at that there is no bathroom (except the great outdoors).
I think the solid wood construction looks beautiful, can be quite practical and long lived with care, but is very heavy and may not actually very strong compared to less beautiful but more highly engineered techniques. But this is a real option for the right person.
