Beautiful product! Cedar is one of the lightest woods still strong enough for structure. It won't darken over time if properly cared for...stick with clear UV protected finish. You could certainly add jacks or use portable jack stands, as many people use for their campers. If you are of the mind that the camper is just a very nice place to sleep and keep stuff, that is you intend to do the majority of cooking outdoors and use a porta-potty, etc. And you're fine with coolers, this unit is comparable to more mainstream looking shell type units. It's all about the aesthetics. I also don't see why it would be any more susceptible to vibration than an older camper with alumimum siding...paper thin on a wood frame. Just depends on your tastes. I'm sure the guy will give you some references to investigate.
