Even if the bumper is reinforced correctly, the weight of 4 bikes on the back of a bouncy trailer is just not safe. My experience was just that... Lost all 4 bikes to BIKE RACK failure, not bumper. (I thought I had it covered with all the reinforcement) You need the correct rack and bumper combo, and then maybe I would say 2 at the most.
