Rear end ratios
I've read where some truck campers specify the ratio of gearing in the differential of their trucks used for truck camping. Would anyone out there be so kind so as to explain to me what the advantages...

I dunno but back in high school when drag racing for a 1/4 mile,lower gears like 4:10 etc was preferred or atleast it sounded meaner!
My 460 Ford does extremely well with 4:10 gears,never wanting for power with the TC on board.
