Just had a frame-mounted receiver welded to the back of my new TT. Had the same welded to my old TT which carried my bike rack and bikes for 10 years. No problems as it is a very strong and secure system. I'm know it costs more than either a bumper mount or one of those racks attached to the rear ladder, but I have piece of mind knowing the weight/physics of the bikes on the back of my TT is not putting undue stress on everywhere. Call around to local welding shops and find a guy who has done these before because many have.
