We have a small table also that attaches to ladder-great for setting passing stuff inside/outside, like lunch etc. or more can than carry and still get in or out. Its an old rotating TV shelf. It doesn't ride on ladder though,
Id agree I wouldn't travel with much on it. Though I do have our aluminum folding ramp for the scooter bolted to side of it.
Our large outside plastic tube mat rolled up which normally rides on inside step will park behind the ladder if it's wet /muddy.
Other than getting on roof, its primary use is hanging towels & washrags out to dry..gotta keep up appearances :)
I side step on bumper to access ours when loaded, otherwise its a heft to get on it, as bottom run is 2' above bumper.
